CREATE A PEANUT BUTTER BIRD FEEDER

The elementary and middle school student will receive great enjoyment from creating a source of food for their backyard feathered friends.  Adult supervision will be needed.

You will need peanut butter, a shoe lace or string, a slice of bread, a butter knife, and a plate of bird seed.

1.  Punch a hole in the bread.  Do not make the hole too close to the edge.  Then wait a few hours for the slice to become firm.

2.  Spread peanut butter on both sides of the bread.

3.  Push both sides of the bread into the bird seed. 

4.  Place the shoe lace or string through the bread hole.  Then hang the bread slice on a tree limb and watch the birds enjoy the bird feeder.
